To create a national zoological biobank that enhances and links the many diverse and disconnected frozen collections of animal genetic material found in universities, zoos, aquariums, museums and research institutes across the UK, and facilitates the responsible and sustainable use of these collections for a wide range of applications that will enhance fundamental research and species conservation
